Fencing Fasteners
I’m often asked about the best type of fasteners (nails or screws) to use when installing fences in Colorado. Many people assume that screws are the superior choice, simply because they aren’t aware of the types of nails available.
There are two types of nails that should be used when installing a fence: ring shank and screw shank. While both perform well, ring shank nails are generally a better option due to their design, which helps prevent them from backing out of the wood once embedded.
Since nails perform just as effectively as screws for fence installation in Colorado, they can also save you money on labor and reduce the amount of time your yard remains exposed. At LoHi Fencing, we use only hot-dipped ring shank nails for every fence to ensure longevity and proper installation.
